Poppy Room

Our Poppy Room is all about the children navigating their way through hands-on experiences and provocations, that will challenge their self-help, social-emotional, and motor skills. Our preschool teachers create engaging environments where play is the prominent support for and means of learning. Play encompasses knowledge building, problem solving, communication, and collaborating. During play, our teachers are researchers; observing children to decide how to extend their learning both in the moment and by planning for future lesson plans. We strive to implement core values, self-awareness, and identifying and respecting emotions. Through play our preschoolers will learn how to recognize letters and numbers, how to spell their names, one-to-one correspondence, and other key academic skills.
